NAACP | Milwaukee announcement: Employment rejection from Time Warner Cable (Spectrum)?

October 28, 2017

If your employment application to Time Warner Cable has been rejected because of a criminal background check, please contact the Milwaukee Branch of the NAACP at (414) 562-1000 (Tuesday thru Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

Across the country, criminal background checks are having a discriminatory impact upon African-Americans entangled in the criminal justice system often many years ago for matters now unrelated to our qualifications for employment.

The NAACP is supporting legal efforts of African-Americans denied employment with Time Warner because of such overly broad criminal background checks.

Please contact us if you have been denied employment by Time Warner, or know others who have been.

Attorney 1st Vice President, NAACP Milwaukee Branch 3254
