The Milwaukee Branch NAACP is in the running to be a beneficiary of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s community program – Heart of Canal Street this year. If we’re one of the 31 charities selected to receive funding, we will use the funds to fund next year’s ACTSO Program, The Rites of Passage Program and the NAACP Youth Group. The activities put on by each above mentioned group help advance each youth member participant in character building as a leader.

Heart of Canal Street began over 20 years ago as a way to carry on the Potawatomi tradition of nurturing younger generations so they grow to lead healthy, productive lives. Since 1994, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino has donated nearly 16 million dollars to support hundreds of local children’s charities.

Half of each $3 or $7 Canal Street Bingo game played goes to the Heart of Canal Street fund, which totaled more than $1 million last year! Share your heart and play the Canal Street Bingo Game now through Dec. 15.
