NAACP Milwaukee mourns the lost of community activist, philanthropist Todd Miller

(MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – May 30, 2019) The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) mourns the loss of Todd Miller, an activist and philanthropist well known for his dedication to strengthening and educating the Jewish community. His civic work and volunteerism also extended throughout the broader Milwaukee community.

“I was devastated to learn of Mr. Miller’s passing. His leadership knew no bounds, and the impact he had on Milwaukee was immeasurable,” said Fred Royal, Jr. NAACP Milwaukee president.

“On behalf of the NAACP Milwaukee, our Board of Directors and all of our NAACP colleagues in Wisconsin we extend our deepest sympathies to the Miller family. With Todd’s passing the city has suffered a major loss,” Royal said.

Mr. Miller, 61, was a pillar of the Jewish community and owner of Miller’s Carpet Company. Mr. Miller, a devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away after a tragic car accident on Monday, May 27. Services were held Tuesday at Goodman-Bensman Whitefish Bay Funeral Home.
